The Arc of Central Plains Thrift Shop
Hours
Monday - Saturday
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
As a means to provide funding for The Arc of Central Plains, the Thrift Shop began operation in 1969 with 4 volunteers and a weekly sale. Today the Thrift Shop is open 6 days a week, is operated by 40 volunteers, and continues as the primary financial support of the organization. The Thrift Shop is run completely by volunteers. Most volunteer one day a week, but we do have some individuals who volunteer 2 or more days a week and others who volunteer 1/2 a day or every other week. Everything that is sold at the Thrift Shop comes from donations from the community, including individual donations and donations from businesses. We are very grateful for all of the volunteer and community support we receive.
Donations are always welcome during business hours, Monday - Saturday 9am to 4pm. Items we can use include clothing, small furniture, small appliances, books, linens, blankets, shoes, knick-knacks, dishes, & misc. To schedule after hours drop-off call 785-628-8831.
Donations are tax deductible, ask for a form.
Proceeds benefit the programs and services of The Arc of Central Plains, a local Chapter of The Arc of the United States and a local program of Special Olympics.
