Summer Games 2016 = Success

The Arc Spend June 3-5, 2016 in Wichita for the Special Olympics Summer Games. 25 athletes attended the tournament along with staff and family members.

This was the first year that the Arc had any long distance runners. 4 athletes did the 1500. Three of these are members of the Arc Stampede running club.

All of the athletes did a great job at this tournament and brought back many many medals. We are so proud of all of them and their accomplishments this season.

Regional Bowling 2015-Colby, Kansas

October 3rd the Arc bowlers loaded a bus and headed to Colby for the Special Olympics Regional Bowling Tournament held in Colby. Teams from the northwest region of Kansas attended the tournament including teams from Hays, Plainville, Colby and Atwood.

The Arc of Central Plains sent 28 athletes. They all did well and enjoyed the experience. They brought home the following medals:
Gold-6
Silver-7
Bronze-7
4th place-4
5th place-4

The team is excited to be attending the state tournament in Lenexa on November 13 and 14th.
